Butler the Black Bear

Good Afternoon!

I hope your weekend is going well. It has been raining cats and dogs here for several days. Jack bought me a really nice looking Satsuma Mandarin Orange Tree yesterday, which I really want to get in the ground, but the rain is suppose to continue for the next few days. When the rain decides to stop and I can get back outside, I will take a photo of it when we get it in the ground.

Speaking of photos, I have a really beautiful new black bear named Butler to show you that we created for a wonderful collector in Ireland. This will be her second White Forest Bear. (Xing, one of my favorite White Forest Rainbow Panda Bears resides with her.) I think Xing and Butler will make a gorgeous pair!

Our collector requested that we use silver detailing on his eye areas and paw pads, which I think was a lovely choice. Jack hand-painted Butler's eyes a pretty silver, which I really love.

We just finished a custom baby mini bear that I will post photos of soon. It's a cutie!

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Erin

Meet Bubbles!

Good Morning!

We finished a new custom bear for our fantasticalfabuloussuperriffic collector in Ohio. She requested a yellow and white panda, and she chose the cutest name...Bubbles!

Bubbles stands 12" tall, and is made from my favorite long and soft mohair. I love how Jack painted his glass eyes. They are such a pretty brown. Bubbles will be shipping off to his new home soon. I've enjoyed having him with us this weekend as he's so nice and bright.

Time to get back to sewing! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hugs,
Erin

Photo from a Collector

Jack and I love when our collectors send us photos of our bears in their new homes! A while ago I mentioned that a collector adopted Sketch, and that he was going to be paired with her new Annette Himstedt doll. This morning I was so excited to get this photo of the two of them together:

Thanks so much for sharing your photo with us. Your doll is just gorgeous, and Sketch is the perfect size for her. I can see they have become fast friends!

December is here, which means we'll have to get used to writing 2010 soon. 2010! Eeek! I started to get some of our holiday decorations out this morning - maybe later this week I'll get the tree out.

Jack and I are working on several holiday orders and we are also working on some new things that I don't want to blab about yet. lol! Time to get back to stuffing a baby mini holiday order bear!

Erin

Thanksgiving Overload!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday! Jack and I had our first Thanksgiving in our new house, and we had a wonderful time. This was our 11th year celebrating Thanksgiving with our good friend Jeannie and her family, and we were so glad that they came up from San Diego to visit with us for the day.

Here is Jeannie and I in the kitchen before we ate way too much!

We had all sorts of yummy food including turkey, potatoes, beans, two amazing types of stuffing that Jeannie's hubby made, and of course LOTS of desserts! I made lemon cream pie and a chocolate pecan pie, and Jeannie's hubby's mother made an awesome pumpkin pie. Phew!

Ozzie was in heaven because there were so many people to scratch him and give him all sorts of attention all day.

He's been sleeping most of the day today - poor thing is exhausted! lol

Time to heat up some turkey leftovers for dinner!

Erin

New Custom Mini Bear

Hi Everyone!

I apologize for the late blog post. I'm usually much more chatty and have new bear photos to show, but we have been working on our custom holiday orders, several which are surprise Christmas presents. So, I have been refraining from posting the photos of the finished pieces in fear of ruining someones surprise!

Jack and I finished this cute mini bear for a wonderful collector in The Netherlands a few days ago, and I'm so happy with how he turned out. He's a cutie (and not a surprise present!)!

I hand-dyed his fur, and Jack gave him beautiful blue eyes and tons of detailing. He doesn't have a name yet - do you have any suggestions?

Thanksgiving is just a few days away! We are having it at our house this year, so we have been busy preparing for our guests and Ozzie has been busy napping and getting lots of rest so that he's extra hyper and crazy by the time our company arrives. Tomorrow I"ll be making the chocolate cream pie and lemon pie! Yum!

Hugs,
Erin

Cookie the Baby Mini Panda Bear

Hi There!

Wow it's THURSDAY already! How did that happen so soon? I feel like it's only Tuesday! lol

We have a new baby mini bear available for adoption from our website, and he is just the cutest little thing!

This is Cookie - a baby miniature bear that stands just 3" tall. I used extra dense cashmere fabric in black and tan, which I really love. Jack painted gorgeous blue eyes for Cookie, and gave him fantastic details.

You can see more pics and read all about Cookie on our website here:

Elton the Bear

Hi There!

We have a new bear available for adoption, and I just love him!

This is Elton, a beautiful big bear that stands just over 16" tall, and is made from fabulous long cream mohair that has a dark brown backing. I love this fur - it is so gorgeous and soft. Jack painted really pretty green eyes for Elton, and I love how he created the needle felted wool paw pads and eye areas for him. I think he has just a fantastic overall unique look.

You can read more about Elton, see more photos, or adopt him from our website here:

Hooray! We finished the biggest part of our flooring project over the weekend. Just in time for the Trick-or-Treaters to come knocking at the door, so that worked out really well. We had a lot of kids this year, and Ozzie had Halloween overload I think, but we all survived. We had Ozzie behind a baby gate that we use to separate him from the cats, but the kids could still see him. We heard a lot of "Your dog is very big", "Your dog is very loud", and "Is that a big dog or what?". Hopefully one of these days he'll be well mannered enough to join in the festivities.

I'm off to get our dinner out of the oven. Hope you're having a great week!

Hugs,
Erin
